The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor (BL-r.25) course prepares certified providers to teach lifesaving skills to others in professional and community settings. This instructor-level course focuses on effective teaching techniques, course administration, and adherence to current American Red Cross guidelines for Basic Life Support (BLS).
Participants learn how to instruct adult, child, and infant CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and management of common first aid emergencies, including bleeding, shock, sudden illness, and environmental injuries. Emphasis is placed on delivering high-quality skills demonstrations, providing corrective feedback, managing classroom and blended learning formats, and evaluating student performance.
Upon successful completion, instructors are authorized to teach and certify students in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support courses, helping ensure individuals and organizations are prepared to respond confidently and effectively to medical emergencies.
